MISOH is a diasporic femme whose wearable / art explores identity and relational connection. Born in Korea and raised in Texas, she continually deconstructs her bicultural, conservative upbringing while crafting an expansive future through fashion, art, and writing. Just as the Self is assembled in fragments—stitched, unraveled, transformed, refined—her work unfolds through active becoming rather than fixed arrival.
Since graduating from the Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA in Apparel Design in 2014, she has worked as a fashion designer for notable luxury labels while developing her own artistic practice in tandem. MISOH has received print and online recognition from Office Magazine, Interview Magazine, Christie’s Auction House, Columbia Journal, Opening Ceremony, and more.
MISOH enjoys candor and loud music. All (good) music! She categorizes songs by emotion not by genre and, in this way, she connects with people from all walks of life who are in earnest pursuit of something meaningful. Now, tell me about you.
